Here are four easy steps on communicating with your hair stylist. 1) A good professional hair appointment starts with a consultation (1-4 minutes in length) 2) Make time to find pictures of hair cuts and color you would like to see on yourself. Look through magazines, the internet, pictures of your friends and family (make sure to cover up the person's face and focus on their hair color, cut & style). Your Stylist will help you decide what is best for your hair & life style. 3) Be honest with your stylist about any hair/scalp concerns. They should want to help you look & feel your best. 4) Open communication about "Your Hair Routine" each day, whether you use products or not, blow dryers / tools / fixatives is key information to your stylist. Listen to your stylist suggestions and decide if you want to build up a new system that suits your hair /scalp needs & wants. It takes time for you and your hair stylist to build a relationship. Your stylist will learn about your hair care needs & lifestyle within 3- 5 visits. Be patient & you will build trust when you feel comfortable. |
